Malaysia education attract of foreign student, revenue soared to new record

[Chinanews.com] According to Malaysia Nanyang report, total of 123000 foreigner student study in Malaysia in 2013, foreign exchange revenue of 4.92 billion Ringgit Malaysia.

Malaysia Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusof said, Malaysia government target to attract 200,000 foreign student in year 2020, this will produce of RM 8 billion revenue.

Recently, Idris accept the interview, said that numbers of problem solved since government set up of Education Malaysia Global Service (EMGS), include not mandatory foreign student to insured with EMGS, issued student visa within 14 days, issue of foreign student card in July and etc.

Idris said, from total of 123000 foreign student, 49% from South Asia, 18% from Africa, 14% from Middle East countries, 10% from East Asia and 6% from Southeast Asian. Among them, from 3800 increased to 7000 of China student from 2012 to 2013.
