Leadmont Developement Sdn Bhd set to become big-scale developer

Date:2015/03/20

Leadmont Development Sdn Bhd is poised to become a big-scale developer with mega property launches, including the RM1.6 billion Selayang StarCity project.

According to general manager Lum Youk Lee, the company is gearing up for StarCity Mall’s soft opening in 2H 2016 and expects to rake in up to RM40 million in annual revenue during the first three years of the mall’s operation.

“In the past, we were involved in a number of residential and commercial developments.

“This lifestyle city project is actually a paradigm shift for a conventional smaller scale developer,” said Lum, adding that the company plans to maintain and manage StarCity Mall by itself.

Positioned as a one-stop mall within the vicinity of Selayang and nearby districts, the StarCity Mall is targeted to be the game-changer by making an all-in-one vibrant lifestyle hub possible.

“We are pleased that a leading Japanese supermarket chain, Pacific Departmental Store, and Golden Screen Cinemas have chosen to come on board as the mall’s anchor tenants,” said Lum.

To date, the mall is 30 percent complete, while 82 percent of its retail space are already secured.

Confirmed mini anchors include Kaison Home, Celebrity Fitness, Mr D.I.Y., K-Max Karaoke, Sports Direct.com, Taimal and Original Classic.
