Launch of ‘Investment Strategies for Global Real Estate

One of the first books to be published on global real estate investment by a Malaysian has been introduced to the market in the form of ‘Investment Strategies for Global Real Estate’. Its author, Max Shangkar who is a renowned global real estate investor has decided to share his knowledge and experience in global real estate investment through it.

The book covers lucrative proven investment strategies for six countries with Malaysia being one of the countries covered followed by New Zealand, the UK, Germany, Hong Kong and the US.

Max, as he is fondly known, graduated with a degree in BSc Computer Science (1st Class) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Born with humble beginnings, he began working part-time at a furniture factory at the early age of 12 in order to be able to purchase things he liked.

After he graduated, he ventured into network marketing where he built his sales, marketing and leadership skills, obtaining valuable global networks in the process before venturing into the international commodity trading business where he jointly inked a single supply contract worth close to USD2 billion.

He later collaborated with renowned property experts to promote Malaysian properties and global real estate investments in the six countries mentioned above with a total gross development value of more than USD500 million.

Aside from being regularly invited to speak at many international property investment events and conferences such as the 2014 ASEAN Real Estate Investment Summit and Financial Growth Summit, he has also been booked for live television shows and has been interviewed by Bernama TV and Bloomberg TV.

The many awards that hang on his wall of fame include:

-‘Industry Class in Investment and PR of Real Estate and Property’ (2014) by The Malay Chamber of Commerce (Selangor) in the Selangor Excellence Business Awards 2014

-‘Top 10 Global Marketing Partners’ (2014) from Dolphin Capital GmbH, the market leader in German government-listed building refurbishments

-‘Excellence in Global Real Estate Investment’ (2015) by The Leaders International and American Leadership Development Association in the 5th Global Leadership Awards 2015

The book is being sold for RM100 in Malaysia and USD100 outside of the country. It presold 1,000 copies even before its publication. Proceeds from the book launch will be donated to two charity homes which are Rainbow Home and Trinity Children’s Home.

Rainbow Home which houses underprivileged, abandoned, abused and orphaned children is a multiracial home comprising 26 kids of mixed nationalities between 2 and 21 years of age. Established by Joseph Clemons in 1998, Trinity Children’s Home aims to help orphaned, abused, neglected and abandoned children lead a healthy and normal life with basic amenities. It is also registered with the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) and Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).
