Tropicana Partners With Tenby Schools to Build an International School Campus in Kota Kemuning -

Petaling Jaya (23 April 2015) – Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”) has entered into a conditional agreement with Tenby Schools to develop a 10-acre international school campus within the heart of its latest 863 acres of self-contained mixed township development at Kota Kemuning, Selangor.
 
Under the agreement, Tropicana undertakes to build a 10-acre international school campus with a built-up area of approximately 225,000 square feet that can accommodate up to 1,800 local and international students. Tenby International School at Tropicana Aman, is expected to have its first intake in September 2018, offering international student-oriented programmes for students aged from 3 to 18 years old, including International Primary Curriculum, National Curriculum for England, IGCSEs and A-Level programmes.
 
The collaboration between Tropicana and Tenby Schools is expected to benefit the local community within Tropicana Aman, Kota Kemuning and Shah Alam as it provides access to quality international education at affordable fees. Other townships in the vicinity of Tropicana Aman such as [SP Setia] & Eco World is expected to help drive enrolment for the school.
 
With five existing purpose-built campuses located throughout Malaysia and one more scheduled to be launched in 2016, the agreement represents Tenby’s eighth international school campus.

For Tropicana, collaborating with Tenby Schools to construct a purpose-built campus in the 863-acre mixed township of Tropicana Aman reaffirms Tropicana’s DNA of creating ideal and thriving townships that are strategic, well connected and holistic in nature. The presence of Tenby Schools is set to elevate the Tropicana Aman development into a more vibrant and lively community through providing a holistic environment catered to nurturing growing communities.
 
The signing marks Tropicana’s third venture into the education sector. In August last year (2014), Tropicana entered into a strategic partnership with St Joseph International to build a school in Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Petaling Jaya. In January this year (2015), Tropicana entered into an agreement to build an international school with GEMS Education in Tropicana Metropark, Subang Jaya.
 
Located next to the established and affluent neighbourhood of Kota Kemuning, Tropicana Aman is Tropicana’s latest development as well as its first foray in Kota Kemuning. This self-contained, 863-acre mixed township development offers both commercial and residential components. Tropicana Aman embraces all the DNA of Tropicana in terms of accessibility, connectivity, generous open spaces, security and quality. To promote a lively and healthy “Walking and Biking Community”, Tropicana Aman also features an 85-acre central park rich in flora and fauna traversed by a 7km-long greenery trail for walking, jogging and cycling.
